We welcome visitors to visit the residents in the recommended hours i.e. 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. though visit can be made 24 hours a day whenever needed. In this regard, we expect you to be mindful of other residents and their comfort needs as you visit your loved ones. Overnight stay at the facility, is not allowed in any case.

No, there is no limit to the number of people visiting. All friends or family members are welcomed. In case the room is shared, we expect you to be considerate of other roommates and their comfort.

ou can reserve the dining room or other available space for any special event such as birthday, holidays, or family meals etc. These reservations are made through consulting the Director of Activities since time and space available are limited.

We encourage children to visit, however, we ask you to alert the charge nurse about the visitors under 12, which are visiting the facility.

We are pleased for your family pet to accompany your visit. Contact our Activities Director to ensure the record of current vaccinations. Please remember to clean up after pet’s visit and follow proper safety measures at all times. All pets should also be kept restrained or strapped while bringing along.

Physicians generally visit patients upon admission (within the first 72 hours) and once every 30 days thereafter. However, our nursing staff is in constant contact with all the physicians that visit Balboa Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Some insurance companies require that physicians visit more often. Check with our nursing staff for further information.

Yes, service dogs are accepted.

Private phone access is available to residents who are on short-term stay. Unlimited local and toll-free calls can be made from the phones. Likewise, all national or international calls can be received without any restriction. Residents on long-term stay, are required to coordinate for installation of phone line through a local provider and our maintenance supervisor.

Suggestions and recommendations for changes in the facility rules, can be submitted in-person or in writing to the administration department of Balboa Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
